Empowering Instructional Coaches

Empowering our district instructional coaches in service to 21 school districts and Center Programs, I provide technical support and professional development in the integration of educational technology. Customized training, one-on-one coaching, growing train-the-trainer networks, co-facilitating PD, or developing blended and personalized learning opportunities are part of my approach. Most recently, these opportunities have been across Google, 365, Schoology, Discovery Education and online learning platforms.

One of our larger initiatives was the move to Discovery Education Experience county integration and SSO with Office 365 and GSuite combined with the Schoology enterprise instances across 21 districts. My work includes serving on the Discovery Education National Leadership Committee,  leading quarterly Discovery Ambassador (now Workshop) programs, and being a DEN STAR. I was recognized as a DENNY Award winner in 2019.

OER
I've enjoyed working on the Open Education Resources (OER) project as a subcommittee in our state REMC Association-- Excited for our new #GoOpenMichigan repository where 21things4students is tagged.

MAKER
I was part of a team that revitalized an outdated workspace to create a Maker Space for county educators - with kits for checkout and workspace for field trips. Our team purchased over 100+ kits for checkout through our county wide lending library, updated the space, and facilitated a 10 session Maker Space Learning series.
